There were some big shake ups in the rankings thanks to Ohio State’s loss and Baylor’s win. Clemson and Alabama stayed at the top, but there is sure to be more chaos with rivalry week coming up.
Here are the new rankings:
1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma
4. Iowa
5. Michigan State
6. Notre Dame
7. Baylor
8. Ohio State
9. Stanford
10. Michigan
11. Oklahoma State
12. Florida
13. Florida State
14. North Carolina
15. Navy
16. Northwestern
17. Oregon
18. Ole Miss
19. TCU
*20. Washington State
*21. Mississippi State
*22. UCLA
23. Utah
*24. Toledo
*25. Temple
I had the same top four in the same order and had Notre Dame at 5 and Michigan State at 6, so no complaints from me about the top.
I think 7-11 are all hard to separate talent-wise. All of those teams still have a chance to win their conferences and would benefit from chaos. Florida can also still win their conference, but after their game last week, I would be surprised if they beat Florida State and Alabama.
If you read this blog each week, you know how I feel about Northwestern so I won’t waste any time on that.
Washington State is finally ranked. I don’t really know if I agree with Temple being ranked, but they did beat Memphis.
The regular season is almost over, but there are a lot of big games left to play.
